应该可以。
名词的所有格当是有生命的时才能用"**'s"如，Jim's book
无生命的应该用"** of **"如，the field of science
但也有例外。
刚查了字典，都可以说their fields

scientific domain (region, area)

凡是有关学术范围多用 domain 这个字 如： domain of science (科学领域), domain of philosophy (哲学领域)， domain of literature (文学领域)
